Obelis (O.E.A.R.C.) has taken a step toward a more technologically advanced infrastructure by installing a new voice-over-IP (VOIP) telephone system. Through this new VOIP technology, Obelis has placed "virtual offices" in select countries. Obelis clients in these countries can call a domestic telephone number and the call will be routed directly to Obelis headquarters in Brussels, Belgium; the client will pay the typical rate for a domestic telephone call, avoiding international calling charges. Obelis is making these arrangements in an effort to bring services closer to its clients. The following VOIP lines are currently installed and active:
